Beckhoff TwinCAT 3

A dedicated compiler backend, TwinCAT integration layer, Visual Studio sensor and test support that scripts and LLM harnesses can use around the Beckhoff engineering environment.

A dedicated TwinCAT backend

TwinCAT is a first-class target in 2ot. The compiler includes dedicated TwinCAT lowering, emission and integration support, keeping target-specific behavior behind the same architecture used by the other supported environments.

Visual Studio sensor integration

The TwinCAT integration includes a Visual Studio sensor package with active-window tracking, build-diagnostic tracking, payload definitions and a pipe bridge. It gives a calling harness structured context from the Visual Studio/TwinCAT environment without making internal namespace naming part of the product interface.

TwinCAT integration components

The compiler backend, dedicated integration code and Visual Studio extension installer are the surfaces that let automation and LLM harnesses act on TwinCAT projects and consume context from the engineering environment. Internal namespace and helper-script names stay implementation details.

Testing support

2ot's shared test infrastructure includes TwinCAT-specific runner and TcUnit support, alongside multi-vendor and runtime-equivalence suites. TwinCAT therefore participates in the same broader verification story as the other 2ot targets.
